Laps vs. Lengths

In many swimming communities, a "lap" refers to one length of the pool (from one side to the other). However, some define a lap as two lengths (there and back). Our calculator uses the **one length = one lap** definition for simplicity. Always clarify with your coach or fellow swimmers!
